Stuart Braithwaite

Stuart Braithwaite is best known as the guitarist of  Mogwai.

Mogwai started and now maintain the Rock Action Record Label based in Glasgow. The label has showcased such diverse talents as Part Chimp, Errors, Trout, The James Orr Complex and Kling Klang, has licensed music for UK release from Torche, Envy, Afrirampo and Growing.  His musical technique is characterized by the heavy usage of effects pedals, used to create ambient instrumental guitar sounds. As with much music associated with the post-rock style, his playing emphasizes melody and dynamic contrast over virtuosity.
